Traineeships

What is a Traineeship?Traineeships at Chiltern Training

Traineeships are designed for young people who want to work, but need extra help to gain an apprenticeship or employment. Traineeships unlock the great potential of young people and will prepare them for their future careers by providing them with the skills and experience they need for their chosen sector. The programme is designed to fit individual learner needs and will last for a maximum of six months.

What can you expect from a Chiltern Traineeship?

Chiltern Traineeships will give young people the opportunity to develop skills and workplace experience that employers want, putting them in a better position to compete for employment opportunities and apprenticeships. The core content of the programme will be a high quality work placement, work preparation training and English and Maths qualifications.

At Chiltern we bring these elements together in the best way to engage and support individuals, so that they are prepared to take the next steps in building on their skills and future careers.

Are you an employer looking to offer a voluntary placement for a Trainee?

Traineeships offer employers the opportunity to shape young people's training and experience, creating a larger pool of high quality applicants for their sector to draw on. Employers can influence the design of traineeships in their local area to make sure they provide young people with the skills and attributes that will benefit their business.
