The advanced apprenticeship course is available for learners aged 16—24 years and is either completely or partly funded by the Learning and Skills Council.
Employers may be asked to pay an employer contribution for candidates over the age of 19.
Apprenticeships are based on achievement and not time serving. The apprentice’s Individual Learning Plan will specify a duration that allows the Apprentice a reasonable prospect of successful completion of the Programme. For Advanced Apprentices, this can be anything from 12 to 24 months. E-learning facilities and extra tutorials are available for those who have the ability to fast track.
The advanced apprenticeship framework consists of :
the CCLD NVQ Level 3, the Technical Certificate (City & Guilds Progression Award Level 3) Key Skills in at Level 2 (Application of Number and Communication).
Candidates for this course are welcome with or without a work placement. Our dedicated admissions team will work with you to ensure you find a suitable position within one of our partnership nurseries and will support you in securing appropriate terms and conditions.
This programme is offered either four days at a nursery and one day at college, or five days at a nursery and weekly evening courses at college or within one of our satellite teaching centres. We also offer the opportunity to learn on-line. Advanced Apprentices are given the opportunity to use our e-learning programme as either a stand alone or blended form of learning.

Monday 6.00 - 8.30pm in Bracknell Training Centre
Wednesday 5.30 - 8.30pm in our Reading Training Centre
Thursday 6.00 - 8.30pm in our Newbury Training Centre
Funding is available for this programme, employers of learners aged 19+ may need to contribute towards the cost of the course .
